Snow Goose & Birding Festival

 

This year’s activities include -

  1. “Everything Birds” a large fine art show featuring 30+ local artists

  2. Watercolor lessons - professional artists will teach you how to paint with watercolors. Pre-registration via Stanwood Library is required.

  3. Homing Pigeon Release on Sunday at 1:00pm.

  4. Artist lead arts & crafts projects

  5. Owl pellet dissection ($5 per child/$10 per family donation is requested to help cover the cost of supplies). Pre-registration is suggested.

  6. Free self guided treasure hunt on the Four Spring’s hiking trail.

  7. Free craft projects.

  8. Artist live demonstrations.


Salmon BBQ Dinner - Saturday Feb 20, 2010 3:00-5:00pm

Gerry Andal’s will be serving a Salmon BBQ dinner on Saturday night. Advance tickets are on sale now at Snow Goose Bookstore and Gerry Anal’s in Stanwood and will be available on Saturday (Feb 20, 2010) during the festival at the Floyd (Festival HQ). Dinner will include Gerry Andal’s famous BBQ Salmon, coleslaw & baked beans - all for only $10 !

The Festival Committee is excited to announce that Coyote Moon will be performing during the salmon dinner.

Four Springs Lake Preserve is nestled in a 50-acre nature preserve on Camano Island, Four Springs House offers a beautiful, peaceful retreat setting for your event. All within convenient and easy access from the Seattle area!

Inside the Main House, a large living area complete with brick fireplace, two-story windows overlooking the lake, and 15-foot vaulted ceiling is a perfect space for a social gathering or a business retreat. Two smaller meeting rooms in the house provide break-out areas for business or changing rooms for bridal parties.

Adjacent to the house is the spacious Meadow Room, featuring 1500 square feet that can be set up for almost any type of occasion.

The surrounding 50-acre Four Springs Lake Preserve is home to several streams, a small lake, wooded trails, and large open meadow area. Your guests can enjoy the natural surroundings and may even be treated to a sighting of a great blue heron or bald eagle.
