Four Days of Snow Goose Festival
Events at Merrill Gardens

To celebrate the third annual Port Susan Snow Goose and Birding Festival, Merrill Gardens at Stanwood has scheduled four days of community events February 20-23. All programs are complimentary, and visitors are welcome to attend.

Wednesday, February 20th at 3:00 pm, Merrill Gardens has invited Howard Armstrong from the Skagit Audubon Society to show photos and speak about birds to watch for in the winter months. A life long resident of Washington State, Mr. Armstrong started birding 38 years ago and has since traveled to 35 countries and observed over 5,000 species of birds in the world.

Thursday, February 21st at 3:00 pm the residents of Merrill Gardens will hold a Birdhouse Tea to display their hand-painted ‘collectable’ birdhouses for sale to raise funds for the Western Washington Alzheimer’s Association. The sale continues through Saturday.

Friday, February 22, 5pm-7pm, Merrill Gardens celebrates the festival with a Champagne Artist Reception featuring guest nature photographer Rick Wood and resident artists showing their work on a birding theme. The art show continues through Saturday February 23 at 4pm with more than a dozen artists illustrating their work.

Sat. Feb. 23; 10am-4pm
Art show and sale continues at Merrill Gardens.
